We have all heard the horror stories at one point or another. A plumber is hired to fix a leaky faucet or a toilet that won’t stop running and suddenly the repair goes from something simple to a job that will require many hours and thousands of dollars.
Sometimes, this is something that happens because there was a legitimate problem uncovered when your plumber arrived to diagnose the situation at your house.
Commission Based Plumbers
Other times, the explanation behind the bill for the jump in services could be a result of a plumber who works on commission being eager to pad his next paycheck just a bit.
This is such a sensitive topic to talk about because there are many plumbers who are working hard, to be honest in their assessment of the problem at hand.
Our promise to you, here at St. Matthews Plumbing, is that we will only quote you the repair that you actually need. We won’t try to sell you a new water heater when all you really need is a new thermocouple.
Hourly Wage Plumbers
At St. Matthews Plumbing, all of our plumbers are paid an hourly wage, so they know what they will be taking home at the end of a 40 hour work week. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that our highly trained plumbers are focused on the job at hand and providing the best service possible to our customers who trust us to come into their homes and fix a problem.
We have said it before and we will continue to say it, we hire the best in the business and compensate them accordingly. We want all of our staff to serve our customers as if they were working for their own mothers or grandmothers, and our guys are trustworthy enough to babysit your kids.
